The BMES Technical Projects give students the opportunity to gain experience working on hands-on engineering projects. Teams are geared towards a wide range of skill levels, from students with no experience to students who have worked on design projects before. The four teams for the 2025-2026 school year are Build Team, Cell Team, Design Team, and Research Team. Additionally, our Workshops Track offer a more easy-going, pop-in and out alternative. Technical Project teams also have opportunities to meet the students on other project teams through Tech Project socials, including pizza parties and movie nights.

TECHNICAL PROJECT TRACKS
Build Team and Cell Team cater to students who start with minimal experience and are looking to obtain a fundamental technical skill set. Design Team and Research Team focus more on students who have prior experience and are looking to work on an open ended design project. In addition to technical skills, students will develop teamwork, communication, and problem solving skills. Each team is student-led by our project managers.
Additionally, our Technical Projects Vice President is in charge of BMES's annual biomedical hackathon, BioHack. For more information, please click here.
